BACK TO THE BERG

June 24, 2009

The boys at Thrasher and Zero are out-doing themselves once again with Back to the Berg, their second contest at the infamous Wallenberg 4. Located in San Francisco, Wallenberg was deemed almost unskateable until The Gonz ollied the massive set back in 1991 and to date only a handful of documented tricks are known to have gone down at the spot, half of which went down during the last contest including one of Chris Cole’s super stylish tre flips and Andrew “The Boss” Reynolds’ heavy hitting b/s and f/s flips.

The anticipation surrounding this year’s event is huge with $10000 begin offered for the best never before done trick and a fat grand to the first girl to roll away clean. Big names from around the skateboard world are set to show up and attempt to huck themselves into skateboard history. Thrasher.com is currently running a video interview series with different pros and industry heads getting their thoughts on what is sure to be one of the most talked about contests for years to come.
