STUPID HUMAN TRICKS WITH JAKE: OLLIE DORTH

In every sport there are leaders, brave men and women who push themselves to achieve greatness. Despite others opinions, a true athlete finds the strength with in himself to rise above simple obstacles like odds, physics and gravity. When one comes in contact with such talent it does not go unrecognized. To be in the presence of a legend is like staring into the face of a lion. Jake embodies such admired characteristics. He is devoted to the progression and raw art form of skateboarding. He is an inspiration to us all and will never cease to amaze. “The other night, Jake started trying some stuff I had never seen before,” says cinematographer Evan Dougherty. “I could tell Jake was “in the zone” and I knew it was my duty to capture it all on film.” Jake began attempting a new trick which would later be coined, the “Ollie Dorth.” This name comes from the heal-clicking motion done in the air, similar to Dorothy from “The Wiazard of Oz.” This video is just one of many documentations of Jake’s astounding imagination at work.
